Well today I setup the 2nd laptop as a media centre (less digital TV tuner, but it will come soon) The plan is to sell of all our old stereo at the "Tender Centre". I "had to" do a few mods to the cabinent to keep things cool. (Brad will be proud :) ) I cut 2 holes in the 2nd shelf and added some 4" thermo fans, the computer (which has a very noisy fan of its own that only engages when the computer gets hot) sits on top and sits on top of the 2 fans, then a fan 3rd fan goes between the folded down screen and the computer (screen is unscrewed from its hinges).
The 3 fans run from an old 240/12V transformer from a cordless drill battery charger :)
So now we surf the net, MSN (with webcam) watch DVD's listen to music etc etc. all from the computer, through the TV.
